lol how can you sue blizzard or have the government shut it down???...it is a game just like the xbox 360 games or any other games, it is up to the user to play the game or not, it is their decision, its not like blizzard forces people to play their game its not their fault someone wants to play the game that much that they forget about things going on around them....they did make the game for people to play didn't they??....that was the stupidest thing i heard in a while

i play wow and i like it a lot its a cool game but as i said it is a "game" unless you have no job and no school then you are going to get sucked in playing all day lol its all about self control

should we really blame the game if out of 10 millions there are a few "extreme" people who don't care about anything in the world except their level? Also, she is the one who got him the game, she expected him to play the game.

This doesn't surprise me in the least bit though! When I first got up to college my freshman year my random roommates all played wow like this. I ended up playing for a little while, but just couldn't get into it the same way as they did. They had some really nice items and gear and guilds, and it's very very easy to see how you can become addicted to this game.

I've been sober for 8 months . I only fell off the wagon during the summer for a few weeks, but quickly lost interest. I have no desire to ever go back.

How on Earth can you spend that much time on anything? It would literally bore me to death. When BF2 first came out I was really pulled in a could spend a few nights a week playing. If my girlfriend came in I would be annoyed as I was in the middle of a battle etc. But that passed and and I got my priorities right; when she comes into the room now and want to spend some time I turn the game off without hesitation. Ok, so it's another girlfriend but it wasn't BF2's fault that we broke up, really Of course she respects my space and lets me play too, it's all about balance folks.

That aside I don't get the appeal of WoW; tried it a few times but it never appealed. Granted I never did it online, but still. And after hearing these kind of stories I certainly have no intention of going there, ever

Uhh... anyone whose marriage broke up because of a damn video game probably had problems before the video game. My spouse and I have played video games for years together without problems. To me, this is just someone not taking responsibility for their marriage falling apart...
