Q6600 for $199 @ Microcenter(in store only) Limited Time!!!
I just checked my email this morning and to my surprise I found what seems to be a pretty frikin good deal. At Microcenter from 2/21/08 - 2/27/08 they will be selling the Intel Q6600 for only $199(in store only, website says $259 like always) this is limited to 1 per household. Lowest price I've seen personally anywhere so far was $238, althought I didn't spend too much time diggin around. Just a heads up for anyone interested or who might have been on the fence as to what processor to upgrade to. I'll probably be picking one up this afternoon, for my second PC, weeeee!

sounds like a bait n switch ad, you get to the store and they just sold the last one! but we have plenty others you can buy.
not saying it is but it does sound too good to be true. hell of a deal if its real.

Well, I got back from the store a couple hours ago, me and my cousin both bought one.
I was talking with one of the reps there said they had sold 45 in one day and still had about 20 left. For those who don't know these are the same guys that had the new 45nm Intel E8400s available 3 days before launch day at $189(I picked up one of those too) and still have them on their webstore for $199. When they first opened up in my area about a year ago most of their prices were shiite, but lately they are really getting their game on, they even have 2 big chalk boards hangin up in the back of the store in the BYO section(build your own) with their updated deals of the week with their prices and neweggs prices for comparison and they do have some good to great deals every now and then.

Update: Well for anyone still interested, I just got another email this morning. The sale has been extended until March 2nd, although for the most part these should all be sold out by now, but persistence may pay off.
