wow! These results are awesome! Glad to see Im still in second place(quad core, 3870), I havent been around much, it saddens me to look and these and not have my 3870 to compete with(still not back from taiwan yet!).

Im hoping to get it real soon and get back in the action!

Dude ofcourse look at your processor, for 3dmark06 it is really out dated. If you are smart like me you r going to take a step to AMD Spider black platform. AMD is really getting back at the moment especially with the AMD 3870X2 combined with Crossfire X. But wait with a very expencieve processor of AMD the Overclocking capabilities are not optimal at the moment many people don´t even get 10 MHZ with stock cooling without blowing up your Mobo!

read the review here about the MSI mobo that has been tested lately:

he he he.. not really fair to compete with all those extra two core quad cpu scores worth over 2000 points but here we go..

E8400 at 4 gig..

gddr4 card at 850/1200

gddr3 card at 850/950

2006 score below..

this should be of interest to those wondering about crossfiring an overclocked 3850 card and a 3870 card..

also its only a 16 x 4 pci-e 1.1 ip35 motherboard.. not officially supporting crossfire..

your thread freak is very good for comparing how different systems pan out.. this crossfire set up is different from the norm.. shame it cant be marked out somehow..

u do the the work freak.. its ultimately up to u.. but it does show the same 2000 points or so difference in crossfire as it does with just one card.. its just the cpu score.. the quad gets double what the dual gets..

i think the seperate x2 section isnt really needed that could get shown with the card description.. it is just crossfire on one card.. the quad camp and the dual camp sit apart thow.. he he

i find it a good reference thread.. the first page is perfect for showing at a glance what does what.. if the details are missing it isnt so clear.. quad or dual is a big detail and not everyone knows the names of each cpu..

the other thing that might come up in the future is crossfireX three or four cards.. trifire and quadfire.. he he he

u could end up with about ten different categories.. u need some help perhaps..

best of luck dude..

That is true that i will ultimately be the one who has to deal with it. I Think it would be easier to process the information though if it was better categorized. but also like you said when we start getting 3 and 4 cards its going to get complicated.

I thought about asking for sticky but I didn't know if it would be good or not. Since the 3xxx series are cheap but good performance I agree with you trog it need to be a reference thread
