Thermaltake Brings More Colors with New M9D Chassis

Thermaltake has released a new case that can change the color of its LED fan according to the user's preference. The M9D is an ordinary glossy finished middle tower chassis with clear side window that has a huge 23cm Touchcolor fan mounted on it. That's also the fan that will make your PC area full of color. It has a special switch on the side panel that will let you choose between 5 fan color modes: red, green, blue, random mix LED, and random single / mix LED. Aside from the 5 color LED fan, the case comes with additional two 120mm Turbofans located at the front and at the back of the case for optimal system airflow. Other attributes include tool-free design, smart cable management and removable HDD cage. The M9D series has nine 5.25” drive bays and comes in two versions: VI4000BWS with transparent side windows and VI4000BNS without the trasparent side window. Find more information here.

It would've looked even better with just blue LED's.

I have to admit i find the whole larger than 120mm standard fans to be tacky! Thats my opinion but the fact the multicoloured fan just doesnt help any more.

I don't really ever keep the fans that come with a case, so I don't care about this multi color fan.

Here, here! I have never kept a case fan since building my own, and won't! Only if the case cost me like $400 dollars because of the fans being top notch... then I might!
It looks like a good case to get.

I wish it were easier to find something other than blue and red

forget the rainbow setup, though - that's just tacky.

The front looks great though, shame they let a monkey design the side-panel, but i'm sure that can be fixed!

I also don't like the way the plexiglass also shows the metal drive bays. On other cases like the Antec 900 (just for comparison) that part is covered.

Nice looking case only thing i would do is cut the led wires to the side panel fan.. think they went a bit over board there.

Nice looking case. BLECH!!! to those multi colored LEDS.

I didnt really plan it but my entire system just evolved into all black/grey/silver with just Blue LED's(frankly Im not a huge fan of lights period but anyways)
My only clash is my G5 as it has Orange

i just bought a Thermaltake Armour ,and very happy with it ,and from looking at this case im glad i didnt buy that ,not a patch on the Armour imo.

i realise that this new case is not a super tower but it does appear to lack some key features that should be included ,extra HD cage etc.

The side fan is multicolored LED, but it's controllable if I read saw correctly:
http://www.thermaltake.com/product/C.../vI4000bws.asp

It can be modifed to a single LED with the included button: red, green, blue or mixed
