*Gaming/CAD/3D work: very low end by todays standards, almost not worth it.
*Office work: onboard uses less power and generates less heat/noise

You can find a flaw with it in every configuration!

Of course i'm messing around here. i am not being serious, just pointing out that for the uses many people have today (HD media and gaming being the top two that use a graphics card) the 7600GT is quite poor. but who cares, if it wasnt good enough for you, you'd already have upgraded it!

Card was bought 2 years ago and still give all the performance that I care for in Oblivion and Battlefield2.

The CPU and RAM, on the other hand, are another story. The new ones are in the mail.

I agree, though. It is an underperforming card.

well everything i said aside, your system is powerful enough for many things. the CPU can manage HD media (720p at the least), it can play the older games you have mentioned just fine, and anything 2D is a breeze.

I still like your rig tho! You get a 8.5/10 and 2 thumbs up from me. Unsure of how much my word counts around here though.

I'll third the props to your machine, my former rig was nearly identical and I think it was a pretty damn righteous system.
8.5/10 for good OCs and bringing back memories.

same really. a 22" widescreen, 9600GT and a core2 duo would normally get well above a 6.

Meh. Who the eff cares what a system looks like? All that matters is how well it works. Technically, I don't have a case, as my system is running on a tabletop. lol.

8/10, btw. Solid system.
