Computex 2008: XFX GeForce 8300 & nForce 750a Mainboards

XFX is displaying their version of the GeForce 8300 mainboard for the first time. It comes with a heatpipe cooling unit, dual BIOS and post code display by the rear mainboard connectors. The other interesting item is the 750a, which is for AMD as well. This board boasts two PCIe x16 slots, which can be used in an x8/x8 SLI configuration. It actually has the full compliment of expansion slots, while other board out there have one PCIe x1 slot less, as the space is taken up by onboard components.

Good to see that AMD camp is not abandoned by partners.

Its a great board, and a great idea to have sli on a matx form factor. Fragbox FTW! I remember when falcon NW released there first fragbox with that board, they had the 7950gx2's and the fx-60...a mini hardcore machine.

Its good to see nvidia have something for AMD, though I wish they would make a top end chip for it. Id love to see AMDs new chipsets (790FX and their next one) in a side by side comparison with Nvidias top end. Nvidia did good with their nforce, nforce 2, nforce 3, nforce 3 250 for AMD
