i find this a bit disappointing. i guess how well its done will make the biggest diff, of course

i just like the "modern" look of the new game. the weapons, the look of the soldiers and AI, tanks, heli's, planes...the whole thing, really. oh well....

If you've played 1 COD, you've played them all.

I don't really see any point in playing the same thing over again with retuned graphics. I've gotten kind of bored with the whole COD series. Can't we get some more originality?

Well maybe but the cod system works really well as a game, I dont see anything wrong with extending this to other settings or times... cod games are all amazing imo (well the iw ones are, 3 and almost definitely 5 suck in comparison), and i know a lot of people who also think this. I don't know why they are going back to ww2 (even i think that has been overdone) or why they dont let infinty make all of them, big mistake imo...

There seems to be two teams developing the CoD franchise now; Treyarch and IW. Treyarch are developing for the console markets and sticking to WWII and the original devs IW are moving things forward with Modern Warfare (isn't MW going to be a trilogy?)
Somehow i don't think CoD 5 will be properly received on the PC, it'll be another Turning Point: Fall of Liberty. so it looks like PC gamers will get getting even-numbered CoD game sequels while the consolers get them all

Gayarch has been making CoD games since 1.. they make the crappy ass ports you see like, Finest Hour, Big Red One, CoD3 etc..

Precisely. The demo already scared me off the computer.

Anyhoo, I'm pretty happy that it'll take place in WW2. The Pacific Ocean hasn't been covered too much in games in the past, so that should be a nice environment after all the Normandy battles. I just hope Treyarch can do something new, not just linear and scripted environments like the past CoD's.

Yeah WWII is done for a while. No movies or video games please, we know, it was bad. I still have yet to play a COD I've really enjoyed, and I've played near all of em. 4 was the best so far, but to me that's really not saying much, doesn't look like I'll be playing 5........

WTH lol boo for IW not making the 5th, and another boo for the repeated FPS game on WWII genre.. People are getting tired of this,.. There are lots of WW related games... Not another one..

CoD4 MPlayer for me was the best online experience: You wanted war it brings you right in front of the battlefield you expect every damn thing to happen get shot randomly and die from AS/HELI just as you have spawned... In short it drops you inside the action.

im kind of thinking now that i was reading the interview they said this call of duty will cover the "darker" part of the war...hmmmm?

correct me if i'm wrong but wasn't that war pretty dark in itself? Anyway. I think they may be covering more about the Nazi's and jew's than any other WWII game ever has like actually showing what happens and stuff..think about it you never see that happen often and being it is inspired by true events they are allowed to do this...just not use real names.

so maybe just maybe...it can be a good game.

If they are gonna do the ww2 thing again then lets see a different locations for change other than Normandy maybe the Middle East or Africa. That would make it more interesting then going over the same old ground.
