Just kidding. That review will be interesting. And more over the pricing should be perfect for AMD to come back and strike hard on NVidia. I guess I will hold off on my vc purchase. Save up money and then spend it later. Very eager to see your review W1z.

That GPU-Z shot also says it does not have 800sp's. I don't think that's a glitch.

"The new Radeon 4800 line is said to mark a return to form for AMD, and for the Radeon HD 4870 may be twice as fast as NVIDIA's fastest single-chip card so far, the GeForce 9800 GTX."
Will this be true? http://www.electronista.com/articles...850.late.june/

now if they said a 4870 is twice as fast as the 9800gtx in crysis, or cod4, then that;d be something. |

Damn it. If its once again false statement, I might as well jump on the NVidia wagon.

Ok, this is the 1st user results on the 4850 I've found to date. He has a QX9650 @ 4GHz with the 4850 at default (I believe). He scorced 15194 in 3D06.

I've said this before, but if they release a 4850 in AGP I'd be pleased but pissed at the sametime. I've only just got my 3850. I've just released I have my 3850 at 730/980. Crazy!

Sapphire 4870's 1gb versions if I can get them at launch, otherwise just two 512mb cards. I'm being foolish and paying for the expensive shipping too.

I think there is a Newegg warehouse in Memphis. I think it's time you do some exploring, possibly some infiltrating, and get us some cards early!
