Arctic Cooling Intros AC Twin Turbo with HD 4000 Series Support

The Swiss cooling solutions provider ARCTIC COOLING today announced the launch of the dual-fan Accelero TWIN TURBO, adding another multicompatible high performance merchandise into their reputable VGA cooler product line. Specifications are provided below:

Unmatched Cooling Performance
Featuring 4 heat pipes, 30 fins and 2 PWM fans, the Accelero TWIN TURBO optimises airflow to 40 CFM, and achieves up to 120 Watt cooling capacity. Together with memory and voltage regulator cooling, this new VGA cooler gives enthusiasts a very promising result – 34°C lower than the nVIDIA GeForce 9600GT stock cooler. With such phenomenal cooling performance, the Accelero TWIN TURBO also maximizes the overclocking potential and extends the service life of your graphics card.

The Art of Silence
Low noise impeller and patented fan holder are equipped in the two 80mm PWM fans. This unique design reduces the humming sounds significantly and brings the noise level down to 0.2 sone, compared with 1.2 sone of noise generated from the stock cooler.

Flexible Mounting System
The universal design for the Accelero Twin Turbo supports the hottest graphics cards in the market, from nVIDIA GeForce 9600GT to ATI Radeon HD4870, 4850 and many more! It also comes with 2 fan plugs for direct power connection to the VGA card and thus the fans can be controlled by the VGA software. Same as other ARCTIC COOLING products, the Accelero TWIN TURBO offers a 6-year limited warranty. The Accelero TWIN TURBO is available in July 2008. The MSRP is US$34.95 and 22.95€ (excl VAT).

As I thought; nobody is making coolers for the GTX280/260s.

This is how I wanted Accelero S1 to be like, not overly big and this comes with turbo modules integrated and a cheaper bundle price. Not bad at all, like that it plugs to card and has pwm fans. Will keep in mind if I need to buy a GPU cooler, current stock 2heatpipe 1pwm fan does job good enough.

Wow, those fans are so much better than the S1. I am constantly having to unhook the cables from the fans, it's a PITA. Even though I push the cables into the S1 fins, they don't stay.

If it performs as well as the S1, I'll definately replace it with the Twin Turbo

It looks just like an Accelero S1 but with a couple of fans pre-added.

That's each, and I'm pretty sure that's the same as my Turbo Module, which cools my 3870 really well

Its quite a bit shorter than the S1. (probably why the temps are higher)

It definately will allow it to fit in smaller cases though.

Slots?

Does anyone know how many slots this cooler takes up? I'm assuming it's dual slot including the GPU.. I just have a hard time convincing myself of it when staring at the pics.

the GTX is cool running as it is, but they cost alot (if they are even out yet). I suspect AC will make one for them too. Nice cooler though.

PS. Im gonna take off my HIS this weekend and clean it up and maybe lap it and put on some MX2 along with my Thermaltake Easy Spirit II NB cooler.
