HD3850 or 8800GS, looking for power efficency.

So I'm pretty sick of my electric bill... So my other machine that normally just browses the internet and plays a few games on occasion needs a new video card, currently has a 9800gtx in it and being it never plays games the use it I am highly considering dropping to a 8800gs or hd3850, so I was curious what one uses less power if anyone knows.

Also going to swap the e6420 out for a e7200 which uses less power and is faster to boot.

Get a HD 3450 if it just games on occasion. If your playing stuff like CoD4 get a 3650.

If it never games, just grab an entry level card like the 3450 or 8400. They're the most power efficient of them all.

Yes! Thanks I was looking for that graph myself.

Looks like the 8800gs is my pick here...

And when I say some games, I mean real games, Vegas:2, Supreme Commander, World In Conflict, 8400/3650 etc just wont cut it to make me happy.

Niko, I still have my 7600GS if you need something a little more inexpensive than an HD3850. PM me if interested.

EDIT: But those games you play would really REALLY push the card. Mind you it does about 3k in 3dmark06.

The 1st thing that enters my mind is
"What is wrong with the 9800 ATI card you have been using"?
