Very interesting... 2 HDMI ports and enough bridge connectors to support quad CrossFire!

It's too bad ATI/AMD are still using 128-bit ring bus when Nvidia has 256-bit mid range cards. I would hope these are about 100 bucks...no more cause even I would go for a 9600GS or GT over this card just for the value/performance ratio.

RV710 / RV730 is food. There are several memory configs, this happens to have the 128bit bus.

That core looks like it's going to be tiny... I'd love to see how much heat it does (Or doesn't as the case may be) put out.

if it looks like two hdmi its not its HDMI + Display port
so its a DVI+HDMI+DisplayPort card
unless its dual hdmi or dual displayport

These cards are the low end cards that are meant to compete with the 9500GT. I'd expect this card to thoroughly destroy the 9500GT however due to AMD's patch up of the whole architecture.

1. Yes 128-bit bus right now sucks a bit.

2. ATi doesn't use a ring bus anymore! I wish people would stop making this mistake...

Those are two DisplayPorts. There are several iterations of these cards, this is just one of them.

the 9500GT compitition arrived, the specs look very close to the HD3670, if that remains true the 9500GT just won.

Just remember that you can't directly compare the RV6xx to the RV7xx because of the architectural changes. Its basically a de-handicapped HD3650- the HD3650 had potential, but was held back by the way the graphics were carried out (such as AA with shaders ).

So no. This will be a cheap monster

none the less do the math on this one, 240 shaders divided by 5 = 48 complex shaders, most games don't use the simple shaders because they where not compiled for them, so thats 48 shaders you have to use @ core clock, while the 9500GT works with 32 shaders but at almost double the speed, also it has 8 rops vs the 4 the RV730 have that makes a diff also. On paper the 9500GT looks like the winner

I'm interested in the upcoming HD 4650 since its the most similar to the 4800 series at a cost of $100 or more!

I would have liked to see a 256-bit bus on the 4700 series, but if this card is priced to compete with the 9500GT, then it shouldn't be too bad.

It is nice to see the connectors for Quad-Crossfire there, but I dont' think it will be economically feasable. The price of 3 or 4 of these will be more than a single 4870, and the single 4870 should outperform it.
