Studio Soundcard

Hi Members,

I am building a recording studio and I'm looking for a decent sound card. My budget is around 100-150 euros / 80-120 GBP. Does any of you know a nice one? I prefer PCI because both of my PCIe slots are in use.

Try looking at a usb sound card like the E-MU 0404 USB or the m-audio Fast Track Pro. You should go external so you get away from all the interference that's inside a computer case.

Hi,

Thank you for your answer, I have a question about the E-MU 0404 USB. Can I connect a mixing console to the E-MU 0404 USB?

How about this?

It's an external soundcard, a mixer, equalizer and a recording device. One of my friends has one and it's pretty good. It costs around 200$ so for what it does I think it's a good deal.

And yeah you can connect a mixer to it. My friend is using his Vestax mixer with no problems.
