Whatever one or the other says,Palit through his own card or gainward's has the most balanced cards on the market and that is a true fact for a couple of years now but because the lack of marketing in some countries, some don't know that...

So kudos PALIT/GAINWARD...

There is no heatsink on the power regulator area.

Meaning it must be very efficient, and colder running than the reference design. Or, it is a design flaw, and the cards will be dropping like flies...can't see a product of Palit doing to second.

Because there are 4 MOSFETs on a single phase in GPU's power circuit. Sometimes it is cheaper to have more active elements, then a huge heatsink.

Should be, but you never know... It's just like XFX and EVGA... both look the same, but some prefer the one over the other... That's how I'm going at it.

Difficult to say really, I would suggest that the build quality and component quality are very similar, I am guessing that in Europe Xpertvision is the budget brand and I have only owned one of their cards but in my experience Gainward and it's parent company palit come out top dogs.

I have also had really good expereinces with MSI and Inno3D cards as far as overclocking goes but taking the whole package into consideration my money would go with either Gainward or palit, of course, in the UK.....Palit is much harder to come by.

I believe that Palit is hard to come by because of the fact that you have people like, the goat eater, that has almost 6 of everything to where he sends everything in Palit boxes...

Now, with the joking a side... In the UK Gainward/Palit would be our XFX/EVGA on cards. In which they are building the same thing, but have the different packaging to make it their own... But, that is my thought on it. I'd still go Palit with my next ATI card... I've all ways wanted a Palit ATI card. I loved my Nvidia one from them... Just went EVGA on the Gx2 because of knowning of the GTX coming out so soon..

How aboutthat a card which is nice looking from Palit.
Would like to see a comparison between the 1GB and the 512mb version.
I saw a review somewhere which pointed out the 1GB vesions aren't much of a boots over the 512mb version in most cases.

1 Minor Change, anyone correct me on this, but would it be more wise to use a 4 phase power system than a 3 phase unless if its not really needed- especially overclocking because Wizzard reviewed a ICE Q4 4850 and stated the phase power system would get extremely hot, well i see the same thing happening to this card without the phase power circuitry being cooled by means of a secondary heatsink.

Woah, I didn't know that!

That makes me want to ask Palit Guy, why the hell Gainward is selling "B" stock Nvidia cards as brand new, lying to the reseller and the end user alike.

Sorry I am a bit lost there, what you mean by Gainward selling B grade cards as new? Your not refering to his "Golden Sample" comment I trust as the GS models are the handpicked overclocked versions.....I didnt catch anything about B Grade......have I missed something?
