Xbox controller for PC Win7

Hi guys!!

Last week as i was playing Fifa 12 my arrow keys popped up.... its fine i have had this keyboard(i-ball multimedia) for almost 6 years... So it made me realize that games like fifa and nfs are better suited if played with xbox controllers....

So i want to ask ur opinion on which is a good controller for pc use.. my budget is around $50-60....
I looked for some cheaper ones but many had a problems as some keys do not respond in fifa or other racing games....

My Sys Specs:
Processor & MB: Intel core2quad q6600 // DG 33FB
RAM : 2Gb Kingston
Graphic: Xfx Nvidia GeForce 9600GT 512 MB
Monitor : 22" LG Flatron LED monitor..

I need a controller which will work fine on this PC and be able to run most of the games....

I was thinking of buying this one...

What is ur opinion...
and others which are expensive but i would go for are....

I used an aftermarket 360 controller and hated it. I highly recommend getting an OEM Wired Xbox 360 Controller. It might cost more, but you won't regret it. A good controller is like a good mouse, you love it when you use it, but if you get a bad one, you will be kicking yourself wishing you got the OEM one.

I have the regular wired Xbox 360 controller for my PC, it's pretty good apart from the D-pad.

System Specs

I own a Razer Onza Standard edition.

In my opinion it's like a console port, it works but it definitely has it's problems.

Pros:-
-Looks good as most Razer products do primarily.
-Extra mappable bumpers to map your other buttons to.
-Improved D-Pad more like the PS3 one.
-Hyper response buttons for the AB/XY and bumpers
-Super long cable

Cons:-
-AB/XY buttons vibrate bad under full vibration
-Bumpers maybe too small for some.
-Bumpers flex too much before the button pressing down.
-Triggers point slightly up which does not feel natural (my fingers tend to move towards the tips of the triggers).
-Currently known to have a high failure rate (mainly the Tournament Edition which you are looking at).

In my own experience I have found the triggers were not working properly after not using it for a while.
I believe this was due to seasonal change and the grease in the trigger mechanism getting thicker because of the cold temperatures.
After using the controller more and warming up the room the triggers worked properly again.
there is a slight click sometimes with the left analogue when pulling down.
The rattling AB/XY buttons rattling gets on my nerves a bit.
The flexing plastic bumpers make hyper response not so hyper due to the slight delay before the button works.

So the verdict is avoid the Tournament Edition model is you decide to go for the Razer ONZA.
Personally an XBOX360 controller will be a lot more reliable than both the Razer ONZA Standard and Tournament Edition in it's current state.

Buy Logitech, i bought a new set of the following coz the first F510 was so awesome and i sold it to a friend after 6 months of use it was still in perfect condition

So i grubbed two more wireless F710 & wired F510 but i honestly like the wired one i hate the hustle of changing battery.

Logitech F710 Wireless Gamepad with broad game sup...

Logitech F510 Rumble Gamepad with broad game suppo...

the wireless not for prolonged use, only use it when i play 2 player games which are rare.

Works with all games no need to install the software included

I have the wireless 360 gamepad for PC with receiver. Food for thought, you can add up to 3 more wireless controllers to the receiver but they can be actual 360 console controllers.

i have a wired 360 controller and a wireless pc adapter for my wireless one - cannot be beat. I've gone through tons of gamepads trying to find a good one and the very best is the 360 controller.
second in line for me would be the madkatz "FPS Pro" ps3 controller. it's built for ps3 but works great for pc.

yeah the d-pad sucks on the 360 controller but it's only used for quick slots and navigating menus these days. if your into emulation or like 2D platformers you can buy a USB adapter that will let you use console controllers

http://www.retrousb.com/index.php?cP...aa616efdfaf2f0

everybody should have a 360 controller.

I used to use a Logitech Dual Action controller for a long time before the Razer ONZA, but I do not know about the compatibility with current games.

Personally I would go for the XBOX 360 wired controller for maximum compatibility with games.

The Xbox controller is really good if you want things to just work, Most games will automatically set themselves up for it if they detect it plugged in, the ones that don't can be set to use it easily in almost all circumstances. It even automatically configures itself on some of the games that were never released on Xbox.

The Wired Xbox controller is also really cheap compared to most controllers and the build quality is really high.

Yes go for Logitech, i vouch for it 100% it works with all games old and new and it's automatically detected by all games i have played.

The reason it works so well is that the Logitech F series (F310, F510 & F710) are actually Xbox 360 controllers with a better comfortable package, how do i know this:

1. When you plug it in for the first time in windows to detect it actually installs Xbox 360 controller drivers that are within windows and if you have internet it gets latest drivers straight from Microsoft updates

2. Its a better comfortable Xbox 360 Controller

Wired xbox controller, buy one off of ur friends for $10. DO NOT buy a wireless controller and a charging cord it does NOT work.

Most games that u mention come with settings already in place for an xbox controller and its pretty much plug and play (might need to go to the microsoft site and download the drivers if it isnt detected)

Could also buy http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Wirel...T2?ref=prid-20 and then you can use wireless controllers
