Weird TASK Manager Problem, help pls

Hi, I just started playing Far Cry 3 today, and noticed that I have a Weird issue since I installed Assassin's creed 3...

When I installed AC3 and started playing I was having FPS drops to 30fps (from 60fps), and so the only I could get rid of those "hiccups" was to set AC3 to run with "real time priority" in the task manager (in windows 7)...

Now I'm playing Far Cry 3, and I also have to set it to "real time" priority, otherwise I get the choppiness again... wtf ?!

I've never had to do this before with other game titles... I also noticed my CPU temps are a tad bit higher than before (idling at 44-46c, used to idle at 35-39)

Sounds like something in the background is sucking up your CPU power. You can try using Process Explorer to try and pinpoint it.

you could check the process tab (ctrl, alt, del) and see what programs are using up memory, that usually slows stuff down if i have a problem like this

I don't have programs eatin my memory up... my system just becomes annoyingly Choppy when I run games (since Assassin's creed 3)

I can fix this by setting the game's process to High or Real time priority in the task manager... But it's weird that with a beast PC like mine I need to do this ...

AC3 has some problems in which it will sub-utilize resources. It only kicks up when you're close to water bodies.

That still doesn't explain why every other game I'm playin lately get choppy like crazy to the point I have to raise the Game's Process Priority in task manager to get it to be fluid again...

something's off... wish I knew what is
