so maybe that's why it seemed my temps were different sometimes with almost the same BIOS setting.... I did get the best result with standard when I think about it (had an X58A-UD3R before)

to each their own i guess, i'm just happy to be running a decent clock now, my fps in battlefield 3 had a huge improvement. I'm wondering how it would run at 4ghz.

thats not a viable option till everything else is in check.
