New build, need advice

Hi all

It's been a while since I've posted, but now I'm finally upgrading the old system in my specs.

Going to be re-using the PSU

So far I have bought:

128GB m4 SSD
gigabyte-ga-z77x-ud5h-motherboard
8GB DDR 3 Samsung Green (MV-3V4G3D/US)

I've still to get a few things, here's what I had in mind:

GPU
MSI GeForce GTX 670 Power Edition OC
OR
Gigabyte GTX 670 Windforce 3X
OR
a 7970
OR
?????

CPU

3770k

Case
Fractal Design Define R3 Black Pearl Case

Just need opinions and advice in general

CPU, it's the obvious choice if you have the money. For the GPU, if the 670 is cheaper I'd say go for it, any of the two plus you might consider the ASUS DCU II. For the case I'd also look into Corsair Carbide series.

Fractal Design cases are great units... I have a Define Mini and the quality is incredible.

Crap Daddy's suggestion to take a look a Corsair's cases is also a great idea- I would have bought the 550D already if I didn't have a Silverstone Fortress FT01 for my main rig.

I leave case to others, I think if you can find the GTX 670 cheaper then it is better then HD 7950 but the GTX 670 is also expensive then 7950 so if you can pay more money then GTX 670 but if you want to save money then HD 7950

Short Version
GTX670 = expensive but better then HD 7950
7950 = cheaper then GTX 670 but GTX 670 is better then 7950

I say go for the HD 7950 because it is cheaper and you can only get a little improvment in GTX 670

Nothing personal, i dont like AMD cards as much as i like Nvidia cards, so if you got the money go for the gtx 670. And later on you could even SLI it to make a ridiculous beast. Im guessing games like crysis 3 would need that much power.

Maybe you should re-read the OP, as it is your post that is useless.

A Oily...look into the Define R4

Gopal be quiet, enough is enough with you

@ OP

eitherway you want it, both cards are very good, but seen from past experience, go with nvidia, they retain higher resale value overall from my experience
