Out of these, what would you have?

I'm poor; I don't have much money but I've recently got to a point where I can purchase one of these, however, I'm struggling to decide on which one. This is where the members of TPU kindly come in, so please cast your vote and if you like, elaborate on it.

My 9 year old Viewsonic is dying, slowly. The DVI port has already failed and I have some bleeding at the top of the screen but is still chugging along.

I would like an SSD, but in my current set up it'd be wasted may not even work correctly due to the crappy south-bridge. Still, the option is there.

Voted for the screen, however, is there any specific reason you want that screen, and not some other(perhaps lower priced one)?

I don't get it. The speed jump from an SSD is amazeballs but people are voting screen? No!

Would you rather have a faster disk(which according to him wont really matter because of a sucky southbridge), or be certain you'd atleast have a screen when your current one dies(when the signs that its dying are there)?

Also, if your primary use is gaming, the screen is still more important then that 3 second less loading time.

Yeah, my current screen is starting to show signs of its age.

His screens dying, SSD can wait. Another one for a new screen, not sure on the model you posted what's your budget?

Just short of 24" unless you go used, shame I had a sammy 23" 2048x1152 I sold for about £70 a few months ago. Can get similar or 24" ones on Ebay for less than a ton!

I'll be selling my BenQ 2420HDBL next week or so. It's a lovely LED monitor, with DVI input (no cable though sorry). I don't have the box though so I would need to find a way to package it first. Would you be interested? 24"

That's a generous offer Millennium but I was really hoping to get an HDMI monitor. If you don't get an immediate sale and if I do decide on what to buy I'll definitely let you know.

Get a new monitor, and there are other brands that are cheaper than Samsung but are just as good regardless.

I'll have to peruse eBay and read reviews of other monitors. I've always had good results with Samsung products.

I find most 22-24" 1080p monitors these days to be all of a muchness, there's not much to choose from in features/quality from the most common brands, though I quite like Samsung too.

I voted other and the other is... save it and save a little more.
If you have any stuff laying around sell it.

Then, get what you want, when you have funds for your desired piece of hardware.

I would go for a really good monitor. (Since, the one you are using is on it's last leg)
Wait on the SSD, as (IMO), SSD prices a dropping still, not as fast as they were; but, still dropping.

Thanks for all the input folks.

I could save but my financial obligations and girlfriend won't allow it. I don't really have anything to sell, unless I gutted my current rig but I don't think anyone would want a Q9550 etc. Ideally I'd love to be able to save and replace my mainboard and CPU (I have my eye on ASUS' P8Z77-I Deluxe).
