Europa Universalis IV

http://kotaku.com/europa-universalis-iv/

So a new EU game set for release 2013! Yes and YES!

Some new stuff includes:

- A tutorial that works.

- More complex monarchs, closer to Crusader Kings apparently.

- Events more tied to a nations actual history.

- A map that reflects weather/seasons.

And something else probably.

In short:

I thoroughly enjoyed playing medieval total war. I will probably thoroughly enjoy playing this. however 2013 is a long way away.

Erm, Total War is quite QUITE different from this. Give EU3 and/or Crusader Kings 2 a go to see what it's about.

Total War is less serious and, I guess, less historically accurate (even though the Dominion of the Sword mod promises to let Medieval II become less "TW-like").

Paradox games aren't turn based, it's "real time", for example 1 minute = 1 month.

There is a demo avaliable for EU3 here. I have not played it but it should give you a taste of what it's about.
