System Specs

Asus P9X79 Pro ~$315 seems to be the best overclocker

also Gigabyte GA-X79-UD3 is a very good value and does overclock pretty well especially at $240

System Specs

My vote goes to the P9X79 boards.

My Gigabyte X79-UD5 cannot match these clocks very well. It doesn't like this memory very much. I'd rather use the Gigabyte, as it has the better PCIe connectivity(ud5 is x16x8x16 direct to CPU, p9x79 is x16x8x8, with bridges, Gigabyte board is faster for gaming with multi-GPU), but the ASUS has better VRM cooling, so I'm using the slightly slower, but cooler-running and more stable board.
