water cooling noob..help plz :)

hello could i have some help with water cooling my radeon 7870 card want a decend deal and live in canada plz help me

I am curious about why your card is overheating? You may just need a more efficient fan configuration, rather then spending extra cash on water cooling. Now if you plan on overclocking your 7870 in the future? then yes, water cooling is a better option.

System Specs

Very good air cooling is usually cheaper and just as good as water cooling. Compare this $170 Arctic Cooling Accelero Hybrid (on sale for $100 in the US) to other air cooling by the same manufacturer.

If you absolutely need more performance out of your 7870, I'd suggest either a compatible Accelero Mono or Accelero Xtreme. (..from NCIX since I hear Newegg isn't too amazing in Canada.)

It shouldn't be overheating in the first place. If it is, you either have an airflow problem or a defective card. Keep in mind that 80c isn't uncommon for video cards.

As I mentioned in that other thread. The cheapest watercooling option you have is doing the red mod with an antec 620. Should put your card below 60c if done right.

thx for all the help i am going to get the cpu water cooling for now and this summer i am going to build a full water cooling system
