G400 laser doesn't pick up nearly as good as the G500.

G500 for that price is a great deal.

G400 doesn't use a laser sensor.

From my research the G400's optical sensor is a better tool for FPS gaming.

I dont play much but remember reading several months back when i was looking to get a mouse that the G500 had sensor issues and placement was off for fast pace games.
I remember because I really like the weight options and it didnt look like a bad Michael Bay transformer mouse.

I had these 3 in mind.
Logitech G500
Steelseries Ikari
Razer Deathadder

I ended up buying a Logitech G400

I got my G700 for 60 including shipping from amazon. I needed the extra buttons. I actually wish it had a few extra buttons... LOL.

I just got a G400 based on hot deal and lots of recommendations.

Last year I have been gaming with Ikari and it is excellant fps performance and very comfortable.

G400 seems to be regarded as best for fps. Will find out how good it is for me.

I also just got the G700 because I needed a wireless gaming mouse.

Perfectly happy with my G500. It's my second one, and before that I had a G5.
