Memory overclocking
First, I have to tell you I'm not an expert in overclocking, but I know the basics. So my motherboard is Gigabyte P55A-UD4 (rev 2) and my processor is Intel i5-661. According to the specifications, my motherboard supports DDR3 2200/1600/1333/1066/800 MHz memory modules, but my processor supports only DDR3 1066/1333 memory. My current memory modules are DDR3-1333 MHz. I want to overclock my CPU together with my memory. The question is whether increasing the memory frequency is possible and whether it is going to have any real impact on performance. Can memory bandwidth be improved in my case?
