Sli not working anymore!!

Okay so for the past couple of days i have had a problem. Whenever I played wow or bf3 my pc would crash and blackscreen. I would sometimes glimps a kernel error popup if I crashed to desktop. After reading some fixes I rolled back and/or updated drivers. Now my second card will not show up in device manager.

I swapped cards to be sure and they both seem to be fine. However when I tried the bottom pci slot my monitor wouldn't show... Is my pci slot dead, any possible fixes you guys can think of?
The cards are gtx580s, btw

It is possible that you have a dead slot, but just to be sure, make sure nothing got in the slot that could block any of the contacts. I RMA'd a board once with what I thought was a dead slot, just happened that one of the plastic peel off covers for one of the heatsinks on the board fell in the start of the slot and prevented it from being able to function, pulled it and was just fine.

I'll give it a proper look tomorrow. It was quite dark In my office so perhaps there my be something foreign inside the slot. I hope it's that easy ��

On second attemp this morning my 2nd card wouldn't even start in the first pci slot. I will try some more things after work but I'm assuming my card is actually dead. Lucky gigabyte has a 3yr manufacture warranty.

Okay so got home and swapped the cards back again. Both cards work fine in slot 1. I tried only 1 card in the bottom slot and no picture. Do motherboards force to use slot 1 even if no cards are there?
Mobo is sabertooth p67. Any fixes I will try. Is clean install viable? I wanna try a few options before I go to the place I bought it from.
