My Assassins Creed 3 Naval compilation MAX HD

All Naval Battles on youtube, all lined up in a playlist.
Comes to about 80 min worth of all out, Maxed, HD, Naval destruction.
All on a GTX 680.

I <3 the way AC3 does naval battles but I hate how I could never enjoy watching them because I'm to busy dodging cannon fire.
So with that in mind, I took a very long time and created this..

Assassins Creed 3 Navy Battles in Max HD p1 - YouT...
The link goes straight to the playlist and goes from start to end.
From the first Navy encounter, to the last..So far.

I haven't beaten the game yet.
Done all up to: The giant and the storm and Biddles Hideout.
If there are more, I will add them as I get to them.

Interesting fact.
It takes up 297gb of hd space storing the original files, which look even more amazing than the youtube videos, which get compressed.

UPDATE:
Added "A Bitter End" now.
Added "The Battle of the Chesepeak"

Side note:..
I wish I could upload the true video files..
Uploading 400ish gb of video files onto youtube would take a long time though I bet.

I'll watch this when I go home but I'll add that my favorite part of AC3 is the naval combat.

Didn't want to make a separate thread for such a small question, but how the hell do you fire the bow on PC?

I've read some chat about using it on gamepad, which doesn't help at all, but one thing that seems an obstacle not mentioned is the fact that I see only 3 weapons on the left of the weapon menu (fists, hidden blade and tomahawk), that I can assign to the 4 slots, despite Connor obviously carrying a bow over his shoulder. How do I get the bow to show on the left side of the weapons menu?

For that matter, how the hell do you raise the swivel cannon on the ship? I'm on the first mission just after getting the ship cannons and the only vulnerable spot on one of the enemy ships is high on the mast, but the damned swivel cannon won't aim high.

This game is a POS regarding intuitive controls, total lack of it.

Swivel cannon is L2, main is R2, or the other way around.
You're not using a controller though so idk. I'm sure it's in the key bindings or something.

Idk how to fire the bow on the ship, I never had to.
I always used the gun, on the few times I even shot, while On a naval mission.

Found out how to fire the bow. It has to be in range and the bow icon has to highlight blue just like hidden blades do for air assassinate. Then it's just select and hold Q like with the gun, release Q and it fires. Poison darts are WAY better for stealth though.

I'm on the mission where you have to destroy the two ships by placing an explosive charge near their powder kegs. The bonus objectives are not be seen while on the ships and air assassinate one grenadier. Everything is easy except for two guys standing side by side that are hard to kill without one spotting you unless you use the darts, and I only have two.

I tried using the bow on one but the other spotted me right away. Maybe you can fire it farther by using fine aim (F). I've read a wiki that says it's good for distance shots, but so far I don't see that being the case. I suppose I could use a smoke bomb and the hidden blade though.

I first tried killing them both with double hidden blades, but Connor only used one. Why is it you can use double blades sometimes and not others? The damn weapon menu never shows a difference between one hidden blade and two like the games before did either.

I'm still fumbling through the game after playing through several sequences. I have to find all the general stores. So far I've only been to the one at the start where you have to buy a sword and pistol, but I can never find it, so that's all I've ever bought.

I'd like to top off my darts and other supplies and restart this mission, though I might be able to get through it with two darts and get the objectives. If I can't find stores I'll just have to interrupt a peddler. LOL

Crazy game. Last couple ACs have been weird. AC 2 was the first that had real good features for money, supplies and upgrades, Brotherhood even better that way. Then they went and messed things up with this one. Even the map sucks really bad. No wonder they made it so you can fast travel most places, because between the crappy map and rugged terrain, it's easy to get lost or stuck climbing some monster cliffs.

Oh man. I hated that mission.. One ship is easy as hell to get them. But the other ship it was like every time I tried something I got spotted. ><
I am uploading "A Bitter End" now. 10 mins.
The Naval mission where Conor is with Nathan.
Will take about an hour from now I guess, to get it all uploaded in HD.

In general though I love AC3.
I think it is a great game.

I'll try not to spew anymore angst toward the game here then, so as to not spoil the video par tea (you saw what I did there?).

I suppose it's good fun once you get the hang of it, just wasn't expecting this much confusion and frustration.

I guess I like opposite things of you. Rather than the naval battles I've enjoying sparring with beasts like bears and bull elks.

Odd thing is, I really hate QTE in games, but somehow those battles feel rewarding.
