NZXT announces the NZXT Hue LED controller

From press release:

Quote:
El Monte, CA – July 3, 2012 – NZXT, a company built on realizing the dreams of gamers worldwide, is proud to announce Hue, an LED configurator that grants PC enthusiasts the power to completely customize chassis illumination. With three RGB controls, Hue enables users to adjust the color fade, pulsating light effects, and brightness levels of your internal LED sleeve. It also features a simple on/off switch in so you can quickly turn down the lights while watching a movie or heading to bed after a marathon gaming session. Installation is a breeze with Hue’s stealthy mesh design that blends flawlessly into the façade of any front panel.

“Proper LED lighting can immensely affect the aesthetic appeal of your rig” said Johnny Hou, Founder and Product Manager at NZXT. “Now enthusiasts have complete control right at their fingertips with the ability to adjust color fade and add pulsating effects with instant gratification.”

Hue is available for purchase now for $32.99. For more information visit http://www.nzxt.com/new/products/case_accessories/hue.

I like this. Would love to do a review on this so I can get my hands on it

I'm guessing these work with different led light kit. And not the sleeved lighting. I know it won't work to change colors but what about the other features? blinking and brightness?

Thanks for pointing us to this. I enjoy alot of the stuff nzxt is bringing out and the direction they're going with their products.

The product is pretty nifty. With the RGB knobs you can control the color/hue of the LEDs. The LED's used are Superflux LEDs and can change through a variety of colors.

Additionally, you can have the LED's automatically rotate through colors, breathe (much like the power button on a sleeping Mac), or pulsate/blink.

Nifty review here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8hEitlz23g

I need that. Those are some really nice affects and good amount of color. Now I can finally have my yellow lights I've been waiting soo long for lol. Man I need to be a reviewer bad. I got alot of extra time now and I'd love to start with this one. Could put it in my phantom and it'll look awesome.

Has anyone here got one of these yet?

I so want to get one myself..

I found this, but I'm really looking for someone with hands-on experience with this:

Nice.

I'd like the HUE in the style of their sleeved LED kits, where it's all on a PCI card and the controls on the bracket. I know it somewhat defeats the point, but once I fine-tune the color/brightness (or simply set it to color-cycle), I'm not going to mess with it much.

I just thought of a question and maybe Athlon can test it for me real quick or already knows.

if you turn the pc off and restart, does the lights stay on last setting (color/mode) or do you have to reconfigure all the time? thats a must know piece of info there for anyone cause that'll get annoying after a while if not.

Yes, at first I thought it was just different led colors installed one at a time but DDD put me on the right track I think this is the only led system which does this for now.

Sure.
I'll definitely not buy it if I'd have to reconfigure it every time I restart.

Once you set the LED color it stays that color because the dials are like pots and supply the voltage in a series,so if you dont change the dials the color doesnt change either, even if you shutdown

Nope. She stays right where she's at. So no worries there.
