It is beta and it is meant to improve Tomb Raider (which it does). I think Nvidia users can safely buy the game now.

It's better than the older drivers in relation to performance, tho in some one or two scenes transitioning from game to in game movie the picture corruption glitch is there (Quick work around is to turn of tessellation then it goes through and i turn it back on) the picture corruption was present in the previous 314.14 and 314.07, but now not that persistent, maybe another game update patch is needed from Crystal Dynamics, or maybe another driver update.

There is 2X SSAA and 4X SSAA, they have improved to frame wise with

2X SSAA on Ultra settings
Min 46.6 FPS
Max 70.0 FPS
Avg 57.0 FPS

4X SSAA on Ultra settings
Min 33.9 FPS
Max 52.5 FPS
Avg 42.6 FPS

Ultimate settings improved significantly, but not such a big fan of the TressFX only on Lara's hair and a performance hit to accompany that, Ultimate settings with 4X SSAA still has the hair glitch looking like lightning glowing on Lara's hair.

Here Ultimate setting with FXAA
