PC keeps restarting

My PC keeps restarting for no reason. This morning it wouldn't even POST so I cleared the CMOS a couple of times with no result then replaced the RAM which at least allowed me to enter BIOS and load the fail safe settings.
Then it just started rebooting for like 4 times and when it finally loaded windows I had just enough time to load Coretemp (temps were normal) and CPUz(everything normal here too) before it rebooted again. A dozen reboots later all I got different was 2 BSODs one of which was caused by atikmpag.
The only thing I did different before all this happened was I turned the switch on the power supply off last night. So what do you think is the cause HDD or GPU, something else?

Might try and reseat the graphics card and even the ram.
Just pull the stuff out and put it back in.

The only thing I didn't reseat is the CPU but I guess I'll have to do it next.
UPDATE: I plugged in an old PCI card I had lying around, it booted without a problem, got in to windows then the screen went black and the power light stayed on.So I'm guessing HDD or mobo.

I would strip it all naked, then re-try with minimal hardware, plugging stuff one at a time till you find the culprit. The fact that it is at post logically rules out software. Painful and slow method, but imho the best way to get down to these problems. Another thing, if you suspect your HDD, just unplug it and see if the post woes continue. Easiest way.

I didn't mention the cpu as you said there were no heat issues per software, but it's a good idea to clean it up re-apply some Thermal Compound anyways on it.

And it very well could be the cpu as they overheat real fast and shut down just as fast.
Good luck.

Replaced the keyboard with a USB one, reboots are still occurring although less often than before, and no BSODs. It's like the restart button is being pressed so i pulled out the cable that ran to the button, but it still reboots.
There are no beeps except for the one when it posts and sometimes it will hang for a couple of seconds after it reboots with a blank screen.
Should I just give up and replace the mobo?

If you computer is just restarting on its own (turns off and comes back on all by itself) - generally from what I've seen it's some sort of software issue. Whether it's with Windows itself, a virus/malware, bad program or driver - they tend to cause the computer to restart when something goes wrong.

I'd start by looking through event viewer, see if any application or system errors are being reported at the time of your reboots.

Have you solved it yet??
I looked around the internet a bit and found that the atikmpag BSOD happens to people with radeon cards, try booting into safe mode and see if you can work something out like sweeping and re installing drivers, if nothing works lets hope the GPU isn't failing.

Good luck solving the problem.
