Looks like it cools well, but also looks like triple slot, which is quite a turn off.

Shame to, although you could put one with a 4890 still.

You sure do and i guess the cost of putting them on 4890's would of lowered stock to much. Their surly different from the rest.

Thing i'm hating about AC these days is there VRM cooling is to cheap ass.

Nope. VTX3D is owned by TUL, which also owns PowerColor. Also, Galaxy is not owned by Palit.

Galaxy is owned by PALIT since March 2008 , GALAXY ( also branded as KFA2 ) just received an AWARD from NVIDIA for its outstanding quality and leading innovation ( read custom : cooling solutions , own designed PCB`s ) . GALAXY is well known in CHINA , EUROPE and RUSSIA , therefore PALIT bought them for marketing expansion purposes back in 2008 . Remember that GALAXY was just a brand , they did not have any factories , other manufacturers built their cards back then .
In China you can find something like this for a GTX260 :

In Europe you can find the same card , only it has a green color scheme .
They won an award recently for the best single video card solution , one for the most non-reference cards in China ( trust me they have like 20 different versions of GT200 based cards there ) Also there is one GTX 260 GALAXY card that uses the cooler from GAINWARD GTX260 ( or the EXPERTVISION/PALIT , same thing ) .

MAXXSUN - is another PALIT brand . ( 影驰的这块GTX260 )

The card seems decent if you are looking for a upgrade ( sigle card ) , lets say you want to upgrade your hd4830 or older video card or smth . The twinturbo is a good cooling solution , gets the job done . There are a lot of non crossfire addicts out there ...

theres a lot of people out there who dont have four slots to sacrifice for a card, as well.

1 for the card, 2 for the cooler, one so the cooler actually gets some air.

There are plenty of boards out there with >2U spacing between two PCI-E x16 slots.

The point is why grab this big ass 4870, if you can get a 4890 that out performs this while not much more expensive?

There are boards that have PCI-E lanes far apart like that one DFI board.
