No Fan Speed Control with ASUS EAX 800XL
Hi!
I have installed ATITool because i couldnt see Fan Speed nor GPU Temperatures in my ASUS SmartDoctor anymore after i installed the Catalyst 6.3 from ATI. Now i can see the temperatures but i havent found the Option to control the Fan Speed, and believe me, i checked several times ![]() The other thing is, that after a reboot ATITool said the GPU would be 51°C, but before it always was like 39°C in idle (i didnt overclock anything). The GPU mem temp is still "normal" with 36°C or so. |

Hi
My friend has the same issue with his Asus X800XL. I think you need to install Asus' custom X800XL driver to be able to use the fan control options in smart doctor. It's pretty annoying since their driver is four months out of date... In ATI Tool my friend can only use the fan control if he sets the fan to run at a particular percentage. The automatic fan speed control doesn't work. Is there anything he can do about this?
