Wireless Settings not Correct?

Ok this person called me saying he can't connect to his wireless network but says his other laptop connects just fine.

He scans for his network and the option to connect to it is grayed out? He says when he does go to connect he gets a message saying "Wireless Settings do not match with the router" or something like that.

I told him to right click the network name go to properties and select WEP and to put in his wireless pass key. Thing is it won't accept the key because its 15 digits and it wants 5 or 10 digits.

Whats going on here?

He is running Vista.

Thats friggen weird. He could change his key to 10 characters or try wpa which is more secure.

I`ve had the same problem. As far as I know it is not solved and is the same with windows 7. I have switched the router with other brand and now it is Ok. I have tried different drivers and wireless cards with no luck. With XP was working just fine.
