Optimizing Counter Strike Source

I have a 9600GSO (96SP) but in zombie mod servers I still go down to 30fps with 40/50 people shooting at once. I'm looking to Optimize Counter Strike Source to get some more framerate without losing graphic Quality.

Source games are more CPU dependent than graphics. I'm not certain but I don't think there is a ton a stuff you could do that wouldn't lower graphics quality.

30fps I wouldn't worry about. When you get down to like 15fps, then I'd worry. What kind of FPS do you get regularily.

Depends. Normally 60-80 with people walking around and 100 or more with a few people hanging out waiting for zombies

You're also running at i7 compared to his Athlon X2. Like I said, Source games are much more CPU dependent than graphics.

I was going to say something blunt and a little mean but ill just stick to my advice ;D

if you want performance your going to have to sacrifice quality.
