Metadata

Alright, I need a program that will allow me to view the metadata of an Excel document.

I have a problem with some files that are made by the same author, but I can't find the Original computer it was made from, or the REAL creation date..

All i have right now is the date it was moved to the new NTFS partition.

Does anyone have a nice set of forensics tools for files that I can run these 17 files through?

this is probably completely off the mark, but you could try importing them into OpenOffice.

Ya I tried opening the properties and stat's using a ton of different programs. I have read about people getting the info by using a binary level ready, and I have no idea where to get that.

Only reason I need to do this, is so I can compare the files to other files to see if I have cheaters. I would of compared the MD5 Hash but it changes per File System from what I can tell.

I don't really know anything about this stuff but I did a search on 'microsoft office excel metadata' and this popped up - http://metadata-analyzer.software.informer.com/

Yea I've used Metaviewer, Metadata Analyzer, some Java home mode shit, some Linux software...and I can't find the freaking original FS info......

It sucks too because I know the files have been copied over and over... Version #'s of the Excel is different. And the Files all originated from the same author...
