WCG pc bsod

im trying to setup an old pc to start crunching with wcg. the problem isthst when i try to install window s 7, i get a bsod saying MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION everytime, so i cant installl windows

the machines specs are amd 4000+ 512 mb of ddr ram nvidia 6800 le. any ideas guys?

It seems that most of the people with this kind of error when at installing an OS have a motherboard with a NForce chipset. Someone here is reporting a possible solution, by setting you hard drive as raid mode in bios and then loading the proper drivers for it.

If all you are going to be using the PC for is WCG, you could just use Ubuntu

i have found out that it has somethin to with the ram. took 1 stick out and it worked fine. but i didnt have enough ram to install. turned up the voltage with 2 sticks to no avail.

How much RAM do you have? Win 7 will run fine on 1GB, and does install on 512mb
