850 pro agp to 850 xt

My card has the yellow connector that an article here says is one that can unlock 4 unused pipes -850 pro to a 850xt - but using flashrom I see that the rom is locked. Can it be unlocked (or ignored)?

Try ATI's WinFlash and see if that will allow you to. Otherwise I belive you can use -f to force the flash in Dos. I've never heard of a bios been locked and unable to accept a rewrite.

Yeah, thanks, I had to use the -f parameter to force the overwrite. I'm a noob to this stuff.
