Do you have brand allegiance? If you don't why not pick up one of the new ATI cards that come out in a few days?

1 hd5870 single GPU card matches the dual gpu 295 according to leaked bench marks.

While your at it, why not switch out your coolant to distilled water? You wouldn't have had that problem to begin with, no offense.

The new 5870 cards are going to be very fast, and are coming out in 4 days, so I would just wait until then and pick up 2 of them. Should be significantly faster than a 295, and not much more expensive.

hmmm, tuffy... you'd have some fun with the board.. with two 295's.. Since the board is a Nvidia sli board..

but, I'd still wait on the new ati card to come out and grab it... unless you don't want to go single card.. then grab the 295. Fits and Binge have them on sale here and not at a bad price.. I vouch that they are great cards coming from those guys

You know you could have waited a few days and ordered a 5870 they say they're actually faster than the 4870x2s

I wish I had that kind of money too, Sure I have a decent system but it's been put together piece by piece when they were on sale. MB is actually from M3A 5600+ combo deal I bought 2 years ago for $100, CPU was bought on sale from the Egg, same with the GPU, actually GPU was bought before the CPU. Actually have about $150 ~ 200 extra right now saved up and wondering what I should get for my system.

But in this case there isn't much of a wait. It's only a few days. These new cards are going to be DX11 as well... you're buying obsolete hardware.

I'd hardly call it obsolete, but its just a better deal in general.

Higher spec, direct x 11. cheaper.

$399 Usd I think will be the launch price. 295s cost a lot more right?
