Trying to install win seven on Raptor X

Right guys, for what ever reason windows seven installation does not recognise the WD drive ( how ever bios and windows recognise that a drive is there)

What's up and how do I fix it?

I've been to the WD site and they seem to not have drivers for their HDDs.

Edit: The drivers on my Asus disc didn't work, any more suggestions?

I like it better when I can just plug things in, or chop stuff up.

Damn software *shakes fist*

I've not checked from another install disc yet, will do now.

sounds like your controller is in RAID or AHCI mode, and the OS doesnt have drivers for it.

your board may have more than one SATA controller, some boards have two. look for the colors on the sata ports, if you ahve two a different color to the others - dont use them.

Ahh that it does, 3 different colours.

Thing is I said all 4 drivers from the Asus disc, would of thought one of them would of worked.

Just downloaded a driver from Asus which I'm going to try before trying different SATA ports.
Cheers everyone.

Edit: Both of these didn't work D:

P45, DDR3, ICH10R

run off the other sata ports (the intel ones) and not the Jmicron, 7 comes with AHCI drivers for those built in.
