The majority of negative reviews from this game are due to bad installs by people who didn't read up on what to do before installing the game.
This game ran like a charm for me on an old 8800gtx.
The thing is you need to make sure:
1.. you install the game on a clean HD. run a defrag.
2.. you may need to turn physx on normal or off.
I had it at normal and it made a world of difference.
3.. if you have audio crashes you need to open the bmgame config file in my documents and go to the bottom of that file and change the max FM audio channels from 200 to like 20..

This is hands down the best batman game ever and deserves much credit.
I was totally addicted.
It looks phenominal and the game play was very well crafted, from the interfaces to the combat system.
I'm not a batman fan in general at all, but this game made me realize I'll be keeping an eye out for the next installment.totally worth the money.
