Are Fractal Design power supplies any good?

I've never heard of them before. There's an 800W modular unit at Overclockers UK for the princely sum of £129.98. For that kind of money, you can get the highly rated Corsair HX850W that I have.

So, are these any good? Are they a new company? It's such a cool name, that I'd like them to be good.

This review liked it: http://translate.google.com/translat...istory_state0=

I've never heard of them, personally I would go with something more familiar, but if it's at a good price, why not?

Looks pretty damn good. An 800W PSU that handles 875W with ease...nice.

I would still go with a Corsair, I tend to stay away from new brands until I see a JonnyGURU or HardOCP review that shows promising results.

They are swedish for Gods sake, have you ever heard of something from Sweden that is not a success? Seems like hardwareoverclock are the only ones with something halfway like a review.

I don't know... you should ask yourself: "do they sound legit?"
Also, very important: how is their RMA service? You probably will be better having a product that lots of people have. It's easier to diagnose problems, because it's very likely more people will have the same situation as you do, and let's face it, Corsair is Corsair

Funny, I also just bookmarked JonnyGuru. Yesterday, I believe. Seems like a nice place!
