I understood you the first time. I'm not sure how to do it like that. Hwbot is accepting my score so it is all good.

okay but a whole bunch of 5850 won't get posted because gpuz doesn't read their overclocked clocks

same with my 2 Vantage runs, GPU-Z doesnt show my OC speeds at all, which is why I listed them for the actual score.

That looks about right. With some over clocking you should see some nice improvements.

Yeah, now I know that my CPU score is much lower than others. And I thought that I have a good CPU

I don't want to OC my card. There's absolutely no need for now.

I'm a TPU and TPU-forum reader for quite a long time now (around 3-4 years). Just recently decided to drop you all some of my skillless english input.
And i enjoy it a lot!

yeah I noticed you've got a few posts under your belt, just thought I'd throw in that overclocking is something we do a lot here

and 'a lot' is about as understated as it gets.

Well, an ancient chinese proverb says - My postcount is just a measure of my ignorance.

And about OC - right now I'm finished with my CPU, card is fast enough for pretty much anything right now. :P When the time comes - I'll treat it right.

Currently top of the list on the clock speeds for Vantage at HWbot.
Clocks 1075/1300

http://hwbot.org/result.do?resultId=912242

Vantage score is P18,289 which puts me in 6th place single HD5850 at the HWbot rankings right now.

Well... I couldn't resist.

Vantage
P16317 - musek - Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 3.7ghz - 5870 @ 900 core | 1300 mem - Windows 7 (x64)

PS. It might be a n00b question but why am I not able to push the card harder than 900/1300 with MSI Afterburner? I thought that Catalyst were limited only.

Nobody ever can resist!

Ok so the bios on your card in conjunction with CCC will limit you to 900/1300, which for you sounds A'ok, what most people that want to OC are doing (myself included) is flashing the Asus 5870 'voltage tweak' bios onto it, which has limits of 1200mhz core 1400mhz memory.

Link to guide;

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/sho...44&postcount=1

So easy to follow. But there is an element of risk involved, so you in particular might want to weight up if its worth it or not

Musek you don't have to flash your bios.

Download AMD GPU clock Tool.

http://techpowerup.com/downloads/164...r_HD_5870.html

Then use it to set your frequencies.
Use MSI AFter Burnier 1.3.0 to conrol your voltage.
Use the Catylst Control for 3d settings.
