Mic issue

I'm not sure if this should go here but anyway, i installed a new sound driver yesterday, and now when i play and use the mic, it makes this weird sound that keeps growing in volume, it reminds me of the sound that K.I.T.T makes when that red light does it's thing, it's exactly the same.

What's the problem here ????.

Thanks.

Maybe KITT has taken over your computer.
Have you tried reconfiguring/recalibrating your mic in the sound software?

Feedback maybe ?. Or are you using headphones. Make sure the mic has no speakers pointing at or near it.

Yes, i tried calibrating it, and i dont use headphones although i tried them but the same issue that mic.

This is crap, maybe i should try and find the old driver and re install it.

Sounds like "Boost gain" is on, i would turn this off as it can lead to problems as you describe.
