anyone try 4way sli with gtx260/275/280/285 NON classy cards?
im wondering....
is it possible for you to use 4 gt2XX cards that ARE NOT EVGA CLASSIFIED 285's in 4 way SLI? 4way is enabled in the driver itself so i would imagine you could run 4 of any card with dual sli bridge connectors and a few flexi sli bridges. it would be interesting to see if this works. unfortunatly most people lack another key ingredient.... a board that has room for 4 cards. IF anyone reading this has the hardware to test it please let me know. post your results here. |

I am thinking EVGA went ninja and did some custom BIOS and card firmware that the drivers detect to enable the feature.
Otherwise they couldn't charge as much as they do for those cards cause people would have done this already. IMO
