Where can I find the old school spring keyboards?
I want a keyboard to abuse but I don't want to do it to my Illuminated... so where can I find one of those old school el-cheapo spring keyboards? I smashed my old one so hard the space bar cracked clean in half... =x

You can get keyboards starting at $5 on Newegg. I'm abusing one right now.

Those old school keyboards were never cheap. Buckling spring keyboards always have and always will cost $50+

Hey Binge! Thanks for the info, I've been thinking that Buckling spring keyboards were the same as some of these newer mechanical gaming keyboards. Now, I feel like I must try out a mechanical keyboard. What would be your recommendation for a mechanical gaming keyboard? It's fickle but I like blue lights too.

Oh sorry, I didn't realize that you wanted a "spring" keyboard. All the cheapie keyboards are the cheap dome switch "membrane" ones nowadays. You'll have to cough up more for a spring one.

I don't even know if it was spring, all I know is the spacebar that broke had 2 springs and this metal tab thingie. I want one that makes loudass noises when key smashing, because noise usually means it's popping up as fast as it's going down.

The customizer will be the loudest/longest lasting keyboard you'll ever own.

Keytronic kb's take a good amount of abuse. They're about the closest thing you are looking for.

Why? Just why? There's already plenty of info in this thread that tell the OP exactly what kind of keyboard he's looking for. Keytronic kb's have been dome membrane keyboards for a while now. They are no more durable than your average Dell keyboard, and they are far less durable than buckling spring/mechanical.
