System Specs

p4 3.0c stock vcore

cpu-z reports 1.6volts, it been quite a while since I used a p4 and I am wondering if its normal.

mmm, i think is not, my p4 2.4 sck 478 (older = higher vcore) reports 1.36 and is running at 1.4 in bios.

I guess thats why its running so hot I used to have 2.4c overclocked to 3.4 (stock vcore) but I can't remember the vcore honestly... it was one hell of a chip

I think 1.6v is about right. The board could be over volting slightly

Its a crap Asrock board... 865g chipset. and the stock cpu fan is like drilling my ears

then more then likely if stock vcore is ~1.55v then the board is overvolting it alittle because of poor voltage regulation
