I use K-lite Codec pack full version its works flawlessly for me.

I know the rest of the forum prefers something beginning with A though.

But as I say, K-lite has always worked for me, been a user since my Dell .... and that was a few years ago to say the least lol

I was in the middle typing this very same suggestion and then my rig all of sudden frooze I guess 2X9800GX2's are not meant to run with a 750W PSU

But yeah CCCP is the way to go for WMP Sol and speaking of GX2's Sol, what wattage PSU you're using?

I haven't installed any codecs on Win7, because i can already playback everything out of the box.
But if you really have to, then use this:
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/FFDShow.htm

FFdShow filter. And try to avoid all the codec packs because they always crap the entire system.

VLC Player here. Works wonderfully on my system. I do also have K-lite full on my system. I did try the AIO Codec but I couldn't get sound so went back to K-lite w/o issues.

+1 to all the CCCP suggestions.

its a flawless codec pack that not only "plays everything" it doesnt totally Fck your system up like K-lite is prone to do

VLC is a player with built in codecs.

It cant help you if you want to use another player, or use windows media center for example. its also got inferior performance to the CCCP, so if you're on a system borderline for 720P or 1080P playback, CCCP is going to help you (even moreso, if you add in coreAVC)

by "WMClassic" i take it you mean "windows media player classic" - thats included in the CCCP for some time, and is abbreviated to "MPC" (not "WMclassic").

The latest versions have been modified and called MPC-HC (home cinema)

You can never go wrong with the CCCP, Союз Советских Социалистических Республик.

I mean, the Combined Community Codec Pack. It comes with Media Player Classic too (and the sparingly used Zoom Player).

Well it really was intended to look like the old Windows Media Player's skin, which debuted in Windows 98.
