Been playing it, definitely very fun. Sadly, my rig is showing it needs a better video card when in the bush area, I was surprised. I'm not sure of my actual framerate, but it definitely dips significantly in that area and beyond that point. I can't believe my 4870X2 is in need of being replaced already, doh!

Meh just did a run through of it. i like it but not super excited the source engine is really showing its age..character models look amazing but environments are pretty boxy

4870x2s have some framerate issues in game atm (crossfire not activating properly) - just alt-tab out and back in again (whenever the framerate drops - usually a max of once per level) and you'll be back to proper framerates (i have to alt-tab out and in every time i load a l4d2 level else my framerates aren't ultra-smooth).

I just played it for a few minutes. Not sure what you mean by 4870x2 out of date, what settings are you running the game at? I'm completely max'd @ 1080p and it's smooth.

That doesn't mean your 4870X2 isn't powerful enough it's an issue with the game or there will be fixed in the next driver release. Trust me my 4890 can max it out at 1080p and my friends 4870X2 doesn't seem to lag at all either.

just finished to play the demo of PC version. I really like it, but sometimes sounds childish compared than the first one is much mature.

Characters are not very original i think. But over all, the game is fine than the first.

i played the demo last week, some friends and i split a 4-pack pre-order.

it's looking like a fun game! you can really tell it's the same l4d but they have definately tuned it up quite a lot. there's actually a variety of weapons now, shcoking. the graphics look like they're on the same engine for sure, but everything is polished a bit more than the old one.

for the record - i ran the demo maxed with 2x AA and 16x AF and never dip below 45fps, most of the time locked at 60 with vsync on. rig in specs.

I am not sure what you downloaded but I can assure you that you are doing it wrong. The demo was proceeded by a steam update specific for the demo. I suggest your update steam first then try the demo again.

Yeah.. Went to get breakfast, and when I came back I noticed Steam was updating itself.. Moments later the "Pre-Order Game" button turned into a "Launch" button. Haven't tried it yet, but will give it a shot (no pun intended).

Play my first left 4 dead match online.

I was doing well, except when 3 specials turned up one after another, I got hit by a smoker, as I got saved a hunter landed on me, then round the corner a boomer threw up over me lol


Also I found the AI pretty shoddy in this demo, they often wouldn't bother saving me.

Just tried demo it looks better than 1st one but still the same way made,nothing new about what i would be happy and would pay money,just for some melee weapons and some new zombies it's not worth.
