Vmod BIOS vs EVGA Voltage Tuner

a Voltage Tuner raise to 1.15v for example, I cant raise gpu core 27mhz(to 756mhz), it'll bsod.
I'm lazy, dont have 3.5" floppy drive etc, and haven't flashed my cards to 1.15v...but: I remember my cards working better with BIOS vmod !

Ideas?

ok...i'll give first answers:

evga voltage tuner isnt as successful as plain bios vmod

1.05v was my prev Extra volt, a notch LOWER than original 1.0625v.

I've tested (1.05v bios) and 1.15, 1.18, up to 1.22v evga voltage app: no help

I did the hard way, bios change, mod my cards: I see effect clearly. 1.0875v isn't enuff for Vantage, get flickering gfx and ends with (thank god) normal app freeze - i turn app down.

1.10v bios = i can run vantage, but with artifacts. i was surprised it wouldnt crash

1.125v bios = vantage run 100%, but artifacts in higher rez...2048x1152, 4xAA, etc...I'd say: raise vgpu more or forget it

today..I forgot it...I dont NEED the extra 27MHz GPU.....with SLI im maybe going downwards, to 1.02v?
