Corsair Hydro H50 CPU Cooler at Best Buy for $59
I saw this early today at Best Buy and thought it wasn't a bad price. Especially for someone just wanting a basic water cooling setup.

too bad, because TRUE actually performs the same @ load, but has much lower idle temps

Crack two fans onto the Hydro and it pwnts a true : ] If you can get them cheap its better to buy these all in one WC solutions rather then air coolers. Although for their normal prices better to go custom. Just my two cents!

Maybe I'm tripping, but it beats all the other coolers?
Load temps is what you should be looking at. Also their "2x exhaust, 2x intake" thing is confusing, two exhausting means both fans sucking heat from the radiator? One should be intake the other exhaust :S

Regardless, I'm going to slap 2 90CFM fans on it soon to see if it makes a difference.

Ahh I see, I have a domino ALC which I've modded, now looks much more like the H50, have it set to exhaust air, temps are great.

I'm really think'n about getting this to replace my 9700n on my Q9550 @ 3.4Ghz... What do you guys think? better, worse, or about even? I would replace the fan with 2x 110cfm fans.
I'd like to put the 9700n on my E8400 @ 4.0ghz

It'd perform better than the 9700N for sure. If you're going to replace the fan, I'll always buy the stock Corsair fan off of you. I've been looking for one!

It be a huge upgrade from that cooler : ]
even in a just pull fan config these things match trues. With 2 fans in push pull they can out edge them by a good margin : ]
