If anyone is by a Fry's, they're running a CHEAP cheap duallie deal.....

I'm tempted to ask for a pickup regardless of my BAD luck with MSI.

just an update to everyone, good deals at MC:

- i7 920 180$, 17 930 200$, i7 860 200$, i5 750 180$

-

- 4gb ddr2, depending on your choice, is between 85-90$ (I prefer either 2x 2gb stick of crucial or the 2x2gb kit of cl4 ddr2 800 crucials)... 4gb ddr2 is 110$ - 10$ MIR here or 120- 30 MIR for OCZ

- 105$ - 20$ MIR for an OCZ vertex 30GB

That AMD combo, I find, is a GREAT deal! 50$ off CPU + mobo

Yesterday I got a friend of mine to get me one of the Microcenter i7 930s @ 199.99 but I have to wait till around wednesday next week till I get it along with a newegg ASRock x58 Extreme to get here in Barbados. Already have my 6 gigs of OCZ 1600MHz DDR3 waiting .
I have always wondered though how Microcenter can sell these cpu's so cheap. Can any one give some rational explanation?

This blurry cell phone pic he sent me is all I can show atm

@ surasomething

I take it you did not see the bit in bold. Just was looking for an authority (or numbers) to confirm.
peace out

They sell them @ a loss and make it in-store only so the sales reps can try and sell other stuff to the people who come in. When I bought my 920 @ MC the sales rep asked me if I had everything, from the case to the thermal paste. I felt like a douche after a while because I was basically only there for a processor that they're taking a loss on.

Guys, I'm done. I'm freaking done. Someone just did a charge-back out of the blue and I haven't the faintest how to dispute it. This is ridiculous, I'm screwed

I cherry picked an i7 920 that would clock to 4.7GHz out of a mess of 10. Found them all homes at reduced prices, and this one I wanted a little extra because of my efforts. The guy cries about not getting a stock HSF, which was never to be included in the deal, and proceeds to get me to send the stock HSF. Today I find out he did a charge-back.
