Who likes AMD's new video card style and look?

This might seem a little insignificant. But just out of curiosity who here likes the new look of ATI's video cards.
Personally I love it. I think the new look of these video cards have grown up a lot. They no longer look like they are designed to be so contemporary. They also don't look like something that you would put inside a kids toy box anymore instead of a computer. They do look a lot more professional. I can tell you with the back plates and just the all around new black color..... I just think the inside of my case just looks all around better. That was something I just so admired with Nividia's cards.
Well anyway I just thought I would kind of get some other opinions out there on this. HAve fun

Although while the cooling is cool( the idea) I'm still not too thrilled on this design.

Yeah you are right the cards by them selves look very very cool. But the stickers still leave something to be desired. I almost considering taking my sticker off but I have a Diamond 5870 and the picture on the bottom shows RUBY. I personal have a thing for her. I understand she is computer generated but she's still hot!!!

The coolers themselves are nice. I don't care for the fail CGI chicks though. If I want to see hot chicks with nice chests I can just go to my univesity or a club lol.

Yeah that's what I mean I'm not talking about the Stickers on the back. I just picked a card brand no reason in particular. But I mean all around new heat sink design.

But yeah if you are talking in terms of the stickers buddy..... I'm with you I think Diamonds and XFX are the best. Actually I raank the stickers like this....

1. Diamond
2. XFX
3. Gigabyte
4. MSI
5. ASUS
6. Sapphire

On second thought though after looking again at Visiontek's card I like that one the best. It's just plain!

I like the new style for the AMD cards. I do not like Sapphire girl's hair. I mean, WTF? Her hair should be fire red and edgy.

I honestly thing the Viper's marketing strategy to make people pay an extra $20 to not get that chick OFF their card.

The VaporX version is not only the best looking it also has the best cooling. I've got a 4870 with the same cooler. Now I just hope Sapphire ends up making a VaporX version of the 5970.

After the sticker is facing down I rarely have time to look at it. Whichever cools best with the lowest noise is what matters.

I don't like the stupid red "vents" on the back of the cards, but other than that I like them. Hate the stickers that most manufacturers put on the stock coolers though.

I like the new design, its fairly sexy, but I too have the sapphire card and MUCH prefer just straight black with no ugly chick on it. Also the batmobile look is fairly funny.

Most of all I am just really happy that ATi went for something new instead of looking almost exactly like the past few generations of cards.

thats looks alone tho, the coolers seeeeem to work good enough, but I am still not a fan of a half size heat exhaust hole, well with the other half somewhat vented into the case.

There are cards that are fugly and cards that are impressive but to me its price and performance.

All depends because aftermarket cooling/non stock may simply not be worth the money so sometimes the stock cards win because of price. Sometimes the aftermarket cards are worth the extra cash. This is just in general terms not any specific cards.

I would never let a stupid design put me off a card unless there was another card similar or exact same specs but a nicer design.

EVGA design i have is nice but it wasnt in my head at the time of purchase.

The CGI chicks are a bit stupid looking, i just want a design that shows off the power of the card or something plain because i am not one for art.

MKmods Those XFX cards are massive, i think they are getting to ridiculously big sizes!

I went with the 5770s as 2 is PLENTY for me and they were about 3/4" shorter than my 9800GT's.

You said allot with this post! I also agree they could have done more with the venting! I also am very glade they went with a new look in this generation. Everything from the X1600 till the 4800's resembled each other. These card almost look grown up. Like (with the exception of the decals) you could even have them in a business setting.

I also agree that for the most part when I buy a card I just care more about the performance opposed to the looks. But like I said this is a very welcome change! Also the black PCB's on the stock cards a great as well!

The Sapphire cards really gives me a good laugh,
I just don't understand why they want to slap ugly chicks on them.
The alien design was actually better.
The Daimond design is hands down the fanboi's dream.
